Cancellation & Refund Policy (জ্ঞান আলো একাডেমি - Gyan Alo Academy)

What is a Refund?

A refund may be issued when a learner faces technical difficulties accessing a course, does not receive the promised materials, or accidentally purchases the wrong course on Gyan Alo Academy (GAA). Refunds are issued after a verification process.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please follow these steps within 48 hours of your payment:

  1. Contact our customer support team at 272023 between 9 AM and 11 PM. Provide the email address or phone number used during your registration and course purchase.

  2. After verification, a customer support representative will send you an SMS with a refund request form. Complete the form with the necessary details about your purchase.

Refund requests will only be considered valid if you contact our customer support team at 272023 within 48 hours of your purchase. Be sure to provide the email address and phone number used during registration.

Note: Refunds do not apply to e-books. For subscription-based courses, refund requests are not applicable if submitted after the course has started.

Refunds will be processed within 7-14 working days following successful verification and approval. You will receive an email confirmation regarding the status of your refund.

When is a Refund Not Applicable?

Refunds will not be issued under the following circumstances:

  • If the refund request is made more than 48 hours after the purchase date.
  • If you have earned your course certificate within the 48-hour complaint period, you are no longer eligible for a refund.
  • If you file a complaint within the 48-hour complaint period and earn the course certificate within the next 7-day refund period, you will not be eligible for a refund.
  • If you have participated in course activities such as watching videos, attempting quizzes or tests, or downloading course materials before requesting a refund.
  • If you have completed more than five premium or paid videos before requesting a refund.
  • If you have purchased an e-book.
  • If you have purchased a subscription-based course and the class has already started.

When is a Refund Applicable?

Refunds will be applicable in the following scenarios:

  • If you mistakenly purchase the wrong course or wish to switch to another course, you can request a transfer using a voucher. If the price of the new course is:
    • Higher than the original, you will need to pay the difference to Gyan Alo Academy using your preferred payment method.
    • Lower than the original, you will receive a refund for the difference through the payment method used for the original purchase.
  • If Gyan Alo Academy fails to provide the promised course resources.

What Happens After a Refund Request?

After you submit a refund request, your access to the enrolled course will be temporarily suspended. You will receive an SMS within three working days confirming whether your refund request has been approved. If approved, you will be unenrolled from the course, and your progress will be reset. If you choose to purchase the course again, you will need to start from the beginning.

Refund processing typically takes 7-14 working days. If it takes longer than 14 days, please contact our customer support team at 272023 (available from 9 AM to 11 PM).

You will receive a confirmation email or SMS once your refund has been processed.
